Conservative Media Isn’t Just Being Censored, its also Being Registered as “Foreign Agents”

The media, as well as social media, have greatly covered conservative views being censored by Silicon Valley giants, such as Facebook and Twitter. But the crackdown on conservatism has now spread to the federal government.

On May 14th, the Justice Department and a federal judge ruled that an American broadcaster named RM Broadcasting, who owns the radio station WZHF-AM, must register as a “foreign agent” for working with a Russian broadcaster named Radio Sputnik.

However, WZHF-AM has hosted patriotic Americans as well. For example, it prominently featured ex-Breitbart News reporter Lee Stranahan and former CIA analyst John Kiriakou. It’s pretty difficult to accuse WZHF-AM for being a Russian spy when it hosted an employee from the CIA, which is likely the most patriotic organization in America and makes its agents undergo numerous vetting.

Unfortunately, Big Brother has easily won against the little guy. The radio station’s attorney, Nicole Waid, stated that small business “doesn’t have the resources to continue this legal battle with the government.”

“Our concern is not the content of the speech, but providing transparency about the true identity of the speaker,” claimed John Demers, an assistant attorney general of the National Security Division.

Demers is obviously thinking that “the speaker” is Russia. But who is the speaker behind his own accusation? Is it Congressional Democrats, Justice Department Democrats, or National Security Division Democrats? Who will watch the watchman?

Those are the real questions to ask.
